Equipment:
There are 3 major art stores in town.
Opus
(closes 6pm) is the oldest, has great frames, large selection.
Deserres,
recent competition from Toronto, has 2 locations and has excellent sales.
Kroma
makes their own paint on Granville Island and is highly recommended by
advanced students. Ask about their "Vancouver Grey".
NOTE: Art stores
can be overwhelming.
If you buy everything at once, you may waste your money.
Try visiting the store(s) regularly. Ask about up-coming sales.
Buy equipment
as you need it.
